UG Assessment

UG Assessment

Regular periodic examinations are conducted throughout the course. Clinical assessment is conducted at the end of each clinical posting. Three internal assessment examinations are conducted in each Preclinical / Para-clinical subject, and two in each clinical subject in a professional year.

Eligibility to appear for Professional examinations

Certifiable competencies: Learners must have completed the required certifiable competencies and recorded in the log book for that phase to be eligible for appearing at the University examination of that subject.

Log book: Logbook is a verified record of the progression of the learner documenting the acquisition of the requisite knowledge, skills, attitude and/or competencies. Logbook certification is a pre-requisite for appearing in University exams.

Attendance

Internal Assessment: 50% combined in theory and practical (not less than 40% in each) for eligibility for appearing in University Examination

Remedial measures: Remedial classes are offered to those with 60% or above attendance. Remedial exams are offered to students who are either not able to score qualifying marks or have missed on some assessments due to any reason.

There shall be at least one question in each paper of the clinical specialties on AETCOM module.

Supplementary Examination

If any student fails to clear the regular university examination, student will appear in supplementary examination. The candidates who pass the supplementary examination can join the main batch for progression. If the student fails in the supplementary examination in any phase of MBBS, the student goes to the junior batch for teaching learning as well as for university examinations. There shall be no supplementary batches. 

NOTE:

A maximum number of FOUR permissible attempts would be available to clear the first Professional University examination. Partial attendance at any University examination shall be counted as an availed attempt.

A learner shall not be entitled to graduate after 10 YEARS of his/her joining of the first part of the MBBS course.
