Introduction

The Department of Medicine at GMERS, Gotri Medical College and Hospital, Gotri, Vadodara is one of the busiest clinical departments offering robust tertiary, multi-disciplinary care to a vast number of patients not only from the city of Vadodara but also from neighbouring districts and other states.

The department plays a significant role in the patient management, teaching, academic activities and research. We boast of a strong team of senior as well as young, dynamic faculties including subspecialists. We cater to a very high patient load , with an average daily OPD of approximately 400-450 patients. The indoor wards have a bed occupancy of more than 80% throughout the year. We also have specialized critical care units and a separate facility for hemodialysis.

The OPD area is well suited for a high traffic outpatient care. There is a spacious waiting area for patients and their relatives.

Speciality Clinics

We run speciality clinics for comprehensive and expert care of patients. The various speciality clinics include Haematology, Diabetes, Nephrology, Geriatrics, Neurology, Rheumatology, Cardiology and Gastroenterology.

Intensive care & other facilities

All the necessary equipment to treat and manage patients are available, viz. Multipara monitors, Ventilators, Defibrillators, Echocardiography machine etc.
