The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU) is recognized as one of the premier institutions of higher learning and research in the country. Sir Pratapsinh Rao Gaekwad, founded the University fulfilling the dreams of his grandfather, Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad. It is acknowledged that Maharaja Sayajirao was a prince among the educators and an educator among the princes.  Since its inception in 1949, the University has demonstrated a keen interest and a commitment to the growth and development of an academic excellence. It has 14 Faculties including Faculty of Medicine, 03 Colleges, 09 Institutes and 02 schools under its aegis. The University has been assigned ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with CGPA of 3.16 in the year 2016.
